Officers and Philadelphia Fire Department crews responded to the report of a fire in a driveway in the 8000 block of Leonard Street at 3:08 a.m., the Philadelphia Police Department said in a news release.
When they arrived at the scene, they found a man with severe burns laying in the driveway, according to police. The scene was secured and the Fire Marshall was called to the location.
The body was taken to the Medical Examiner's Office, police said.
An investigation is ongoing with Northeast Detectives, according to police.
